How big is it?
We would rather tell you honestly than guess. The maker does not publish opened dimensions for either size, and we will not invent them. What we can tell you is that it ships folded flat in a 30 by 20 by 5 cm parcel weighing half a kilo, so both sizes are compact tabletop and plant pot baskets rather than large floor hampers. If you need an exact measurement before ordering, message us and we will get it from the maker for you.
Small or Medium?
Medium is the one most people want, and it suits a leafy plant, a throw, or a shelf of odds and ends. Small is better on a desk, a bathroom counter or a windowsill, or as a cover for a smaller nursery pot.
Can I put a plant straight in it?
Use it as a cover rather than a pot. Leave the plant in its plastic nursery pot and sit that inside the basket, ideally on a saucer. Seagrass is a natural fibre, so watering directly into the weave will stain it and shorten its life.
Will it hold its shape?
It arrives folded flat for shipping and opens out by hand. Buyers describe it as easy to push back into shape, and it settles properly once there is something inside it. Empty and unfilled it will look softer than it does in the photos.
How do I keep it looking good?
Dust it or run a vacuum brush over the weave now and then, and wipe marks with a barely damp cloth. Keep it out of standing water and out of long direct sun, which fades natural grass over time.
