How big is the light it projects?
It throws a circle that grows as you move it back. Close to the wall you get a tight, saturated disc. Further back it spreads into a soft wash across a whole corner. Most people land somewhere in between and adjust until it looks right.
Does it show up in a bright room?
It is at its best in low light. In a dim or dark room the colour is rich and photographs beautifully, which is what it was made for. In full daylight it will read faint.
What colour light does it give?
A warm sunset gradient, deep orange running through to red. It is one continuous field of colour rather than a colour changer, which is exactly why it looks like real dusk light instead of a party bulb.
What do I plug it into?
Any USB port. A laptop, a power bank, a car USB socket or a USB wall plug all work. It runs on 5V over USB, so there is nothing to install and nothing to charge. If you want it in a wall socket, use a USB adapter you already own from a brand you recognise. That way you know the part going into the wall is one certified for use in Canada.
Can I leave it running all evening?
It is a low power LED and draws far less than a standard bulb, so it is designed to run for long stretches. Being straight with you though: it does get warm in use, and a small number of buyers have reported it feeling hot after a while rather than just warm. Give it some air, do not sit it against fabric or cover it, and unplug it if it ever feels hotter than you are comfortable with. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out.
