How big is it?
This is a tabletop piece rather than a floor plant, so picture it beside a lamp, on a shelf or on a bathroom counter rather than filling a corner. Buyers do tell us it reads smaller in person than it looks in a photo, so if you are dressing a wide sideboard, two of them side by side works better than one.
Will the petals be creased when it arrives?
Sometimes, yes. The blooms are packed tightly so the parcel stays small, and petals can arrive with a fold in them. It takes about a minute to fix: ease each petal open with your fingers, or pass a hairdryer over them on a warm setting and they relax back into shape and stay there.
What is it made from?
The blooms, leaves and pot are moulded plastic, finished to read as an orchid from across a room. It is built to hold its shape and its colour for years rather than to pass for a living plant at arm's length.
Do I need to buy a pot for it?
No. It arrives already set in its own pot with leaves at the base, so there is nothing to plant, nothing to assemble and nothing to buy alongside it.
How do I keep it looking good?
Dust it every few weeks with a soft brush, or blow it clean with a hairdryer on the cool setting. Keep it out of long direct sunlight so the colour stays even and it will look the same for years.
